I will dedicate all my time to attend to and process the important business citizens have before the Justice Court, with an industrious, respectful, common sense approach to everyone appearing before the court.  

 

To the full extent that is lawful and practical to do so, I will use the court as a tool in the effort to curb truancies.  I am completely convinced that education is central to the success and well being of our youth and a successful future for the whole of our community.  I will do what I can to promote civic duty and responsibility not only for our youth, but throughout the city. 

 

The Justice of the Peace courts have exclusive jurisdiction over eviction cases. A landlords ability to recover possession of an apartment from a non-paying tenant, and a tenant's right to his/her home or obtain re-entry if wrongfully locked out, are of paramount importance to both the landlords bottom line, and the tenant's ability to have a safe place to live.   These cases will promptly be heard,ensuring that the rights of each party are considered and justice is done.  These cases will promptly be heard and decisions executed.

This Justice Court will have independence, integrity and impartiality. 

 

I am not seeking endorsements or contributions from organizations or special interest groups.  Accepting endorsemnts or contributions is a conflict of interest.  A conflict of interest in government exists whenever an individual or organization is in a a position to influence or benefit from an official judicial decision.
